Ok so i have just recieved my glass today and tomorrow putting it all together, but two panels i got is too long so the coming in the morning to come cut it to size.

i will take pics off the build and post it as soon as there is any new development.

so the basics, the dt is going to be 700wide x 500 high x 600 long. This will be my first real tank as my previous tank was a 48 liter nano and can only be seen as a learning phase, any, help, advice, or critisism would be apreciated throughout the thread.

Keep us Posted. I've always wanted to build my own tanks but have been to scared. Too many visions of flooded floors and fish flapping on the carpet

Nice Johan, what glass thickness are you using and are you going to be using euro bracing?

Well ill be using the bracing at the bottom, but no bracing at the top, i will be using the hood to brace at the top. The tank volume is 210 liters and adding a sump wich should hold about 100 liters, as yet im not sure about flow or the sump desighn, or even what will be in the tank, i know tho im going to use 80 percent biorock and 20 percent live rock. There are alot of fish i do like but im looking at fish, corals and inverts that are out of the ordinary and very intrasting at what they do.

As always any input is welcome, the side glass is 10mm, and the bottem glass is 12mm, the tank is finished siliconed, and is busy drying, once its dry we will be putting the bottem bracing in.

One is a old clamp, the other builders warehouse, as for the man in the pic, that would be the very diy man, my father, as for me, i give idees he makes them reality. Ha ha. jacquesb, im in sparrow, but built the tan at my dads home in sunset beach.
