I bought Stray Tang's setup from him a couple of months ago. Did a major clean out and re-setup to how I like to run a tank. We each have our own way of doing things to get the tank just how we want it......as long as the creatures are happy...I'm cool with that.

I am one of those reefers who don't like to fiddle too much on a tank, I'd rather setup with decent equipment, good filtration and good lighting. I keep my supplement dosing to very simple and straight forward levels, in other words I follow the beginner instructions on the supplement bottles....LOL. I am a great believer in the KISS method of keeping marines.

Here are some pics of my progress so far.

Thanks for the compliments, these pics are under the Aquamedic 6 tube T5 lighting setup. I've ordered the Zetlight 6600 LED system. Will post some pics once I've got the LED system figured out.

If I like the LED's, I might sell the Aquamedic T5 setup...or maybe use it on my planned frag tank.....watch this space!!

Once that colony gets a bit bigger I plan to frag a few of those zoas.

Yip, keen to do that. How do I get them to East London cost effectively?

I see you also have the Red Sea Max 130...I've kept mine and I'm currently using it as a frag tank. I might set it up as a display tank again sometime, I really enjoyed the max 130, very simple and easy to maintain...my kind of tank

Your tank has come along so nicely. Interested to see how the zetlight do and what effect will take place. Looks like an awesome unit. The 130 is a fantastic beginners tank. I have also converted mine to a frag/quarantine setup.

Postnet to Postnet works fine, otherwise airport to airport. I've done both with no problems moving livestock. :) Alternatively I will be in Cape Town the weekend of the 5th September for a wedding so I can always bring some zoas down with me and we can trade while I'm down. :m85:

Yup the simplicity and ease of use is why I got the RSM 130. When I took down my 6ft tank in 2012 I never had any intention of restarting the hobby again...but I was drawn back in...only way I convinced myself to allow myself to get another tank was it had to be a small all-in-one unit and I had to keep it simple that basically all I had to worry about was cleaning the glass and feeding the fish.
