So ive decided to setup a frag tank, mainly thanks to Midasblenny because he gave me the tank :)

I plan to build "steps" using eggcrate and have the powerhead and heater under there.

The skimmer will sit in the corner (elevated) and the steps will be built around it.

Tank Dimensions:
600X300X500

Filtration:
my trusty old TS1 Skimmer
HOB filter running seagel and floss

Flow:

Hydor Koralia 4 (if it aint strong enough, I have a sunsun 12000LPH)

Heating:

100W no name heater

Lighting:

Still unsure, thinking either T5's or CFL's

Thats all for now

Will be mainly softies and some SPS.

The SPS will obviously be on the higher shelves, closer to the lights. thats why im thinking that i can maybe get away with CFL's

Sooo,

Did a FW test yesterday and Im pleased to say that the tank is watertight!

I also went and bought a HOB filter to run carbon, purigen and a bit o' floss.

Today sees me going to get purigen and eggcrate as well as filling the tank tonight!

pics later ;)

Coz my tank is starting to look messy with all the frags lying on the bottom,

Plus, I wanna start fragging on a more regular basis

Hey guys,

still need to get around to getting eggcrate.

Then i need to mount the MH.

I thought id have this up and running sooner, but alas, time is not my friend.

Hopefully soon though :D

Sooo, things have moved along a bit.

I filled the tank with SW, added some LR turned on equipment and added some frags,
then I mounted the halide.

I still need to get eggcrate to make a structure, but at least its operational:
