Looking nice. the rock top left corner, is it stuck to the glass or does it just look like it in the pick?

@butcherman and cassie1 its a four foot with a three foot sump with a live rock chamber, a dsb running a Jebo skimmer i think no name on it, and a aquamedic kalk stirres with and atu.
Lighting is two whites and two blue ati and aquamedic.
@Tiger eye no all my rocks are loose just fitted snug.

Tomorrow i will upload new picture once new corals are in.

    Thanks for the comments

only came across this now...are there any updated pics here?
reason i ask is everyone was saying,..... looking , good, and, awesome but looking at the pictures it looked like the corals were retracting, and some not looking to happy.
    are they looking happy now???
and hopefully that jebo skimmer has made it to the bin!

i hope im not sounding harsh, just giving you the advise you need to be hearing;)

i can see alot of great effort and work has gone ito this system, so just feel that the advise being givin are not helping JONO evolve....
i hope he has had good advise since as i see he posted pics in august.

but id like to know what equipment is on there , what direction hes taking with regard to livestock and coral.

looks like a mixed reef with softies and lps, if this is the case then good DSB is recomended.....and i see thats what hes done.

maybe remove the live rock chamber and use it for caluerpa to try help reduce nitrates.

what turnover flow do you have - what size return pump relavent to litres of water...should be 5 times at least...

and thats not , (my tank is 500 litres and my return pump is 2500 litres), take into consideration the head height etc etcso you may need a 6000 lph pump to turn over 5 times with the average head height of a marine tank

just some pointers to help, if you havent been guided in the right direction already

    hey Marco

the pictures where taking after I did the changes in the rocks and water changes. since that picture I have changed the lighting to a halide, t5 combo and the jebo skimmer is out and the ts2 skimmer in. I am running a dsb but want to add cheeto. the donuts are rescues and hoping will recover.
I'm busy redoing the wood work so now it will be dark wood and I moded the hood to house the new lighting unit. how easy is caluepa to keep and where can one get from?

I have seen an improvement with the corals since the lighting upgrade.

awesome....sounds like you on the right track....good to hear the corals are liking the mh.
cool, donuts do often recover.....i had a red and green one that took a pounding every now and then....
i was amazed at how quick it would 100 percent recover.

only comment from those pics is id remove those ceramic stones and ecess rock it seems is ontop of your dsb now

oh and i cant really see, but from the pic the return pumps looks like it may be a halliea 6530 if so its rated at 1750 litres....if its a hx 6540 its rated at 2880 litres ....take the height its pumping to...maybe 1.5 meter head, and you will loose alot of that flow

oh ...later on...try put a bracket with a filter sock on the down pipe too...it will help alot...
skimmer seems to be working perfect
