So i had to catch my sailfin and came up with this idea. Note that i caught the naso about 5 times before i got the sailfin to fall for it :p

    Step 1

    Step2 Add nori to trap

First night they just checked it out. Second night the naso started to go in. Third night i had the nori in my hand and got the sailfin to follow it and put it in the bottle, he swam right in and i closed the lid. He put up quite a fight.

Was sad to see him go

Another option is to just use your cleaning magnet to hold it in place. Just cable tie the magnet on the inside to the bottle so that it does not fall on the fish as you remove the outside magnet.

Any idea how to catch a Formosa Wrasse out of a Boyu TL-550? I was lured into buying him when I first started by my LFS and now the sod is on its way to getting too big for the tank - he's not there yet but he's getting there fast...

Every time I put my hand in the tank for any reason he buries himself in the sand... am I going to have to remove everything to get him out? :cursing:

Burrowers, you will have to take the rock out if there is any and scoop him and the pebbles when he ducks. Only way to catch a wrasse is to check where he ducks into and scoop

Or a hook and fishline ;) as last resort
