So yesterday I added a white vinyl to the bottom of my tank as I plan to go barebottom.

Not too much of a mission as I designed the tank to be able to come apart easy. Glad I did this now rather than later.

I finally got the tank wet and salty!!!!

Just read back through this thread and it's come such a long way!

Two people specifically I would like to thank is @viper357 and @HOT SAUCE for their input on the sump and bracing the stand respectively:m06:

As well as @Dian6430 for the constant interest and nagging. It's been nice to be kept motivated to give updates:m16:

Here are pics of the tank as it stands today:swim:

Added my liverock which has been maturing in my QT setup for a while. Tested nitrites nitrates and ammo yesterday and it was all zero. Been adding Bio S daily.

Return pump is however giving me issues. It seems to be surging and therefore messing with my Herbie overflow levels:m36:

    Will need to replace it

So I had an issue today. My ATO dumped almost a full batch of rodi into my tank after the switch and emergency switch got locked in place when it lifted up sideways. Very dissapointed and will be using the new float valves from now on. Luckily I caught it with 1mm to spare and avoided a full on flood.

Luckily there is no stocking or anything in the tank so I'll just wait for evaporation to bring the salinity up to where it should be again.

    Sho!!Dodged a bullet there..
Have you though of maybe trying an ATO with optical sensor?
I use the Smart ATO Micro and it works flawlessly.I don't trust float switches that much.Luckily you don't have any stock.

    All the best

I think R2000 for an ATO is excessive

I have another set of float valves which are much better and will just replace with those

So I have finally added my first fish. Due to constraints with regards to available space I could not QT the fish but I've decided to take the risk as it will be the only fish in the tank. I got myself a sixline wrasse which has been named Wally. This due to the fact that he went missing for the first day and night and we spent the whole time playing a game of "Wheres Wally" in the aquarium.

He's very active now and eating anything I give him. Also added a hammer coral which opened up nicely within 10mins of introduction.

Big thanks to @MajesticPets for these two specimens. Very happy with them.

Today I finally got some Acans!!!

Picked these two up after varsity and acclimated them in. Very happy with them! It's nice to finally have some proper colour in the tank.

    Added more corals today!

Got myself a toxic green brain coral, some colonies of red zoa's, a blue and red open brain and an elegance coral. Very happy with them all and the tank is going nicely. Busy getting myself some supplements at the moment so I will begin to dose soon.

The tank is ticking over nicely, brown algae has come and begun to receed now but I'm keeping an eye on it.

    Some pictures
