My first marine tank

Boyu 550 (donated with some live rock by a friend).
Hydor Slim Skim skimmer (received with the Boyu)
Eheim 250W heater
Two Seio wave makers (one strong and one weak)

Added 2 Ocealaris clowns, 2 hermit crabs, 1 turbo and 1 nassarius snail. (Also got a hitchiker - think it is a Mexican turbo snail).

Would like to add a video clip of the skimmer to ask if it is working correctly. How do I add a video clip?
 
Welcome @VisWolf enjoy the journey. How long have you had the tank up and running, what type of system do you have in mind (fish only or fish with corals) and what are your future livestock plans?

The tank is running about a week and n half.
I want to run fish with corals im gonna look at a few corals dis afer noon
How many fish and corals would u suggeste
I want to put in a orange dot goby but only the end of september
Any other fish suggestens wil be appreciate and coral

Ok first off wait till you add more livestock. Your tank is quite new and still needs to go through its cycling process. I would suggest you do a bit more research on marine tanks and starting up with marines. There is a wealth of info on the forum and also a lot of people who will help wherd they can. Also dont be scared to ask questions. I know that you are eager to put fish in but with marines you need to be patient. I will help where I can.
 
The liverock comes from my sump and is quite mature.

Tank is also dosed (daily for a week) with Stability and AmGuard since the clowns were added.

So clowns should be fine.

VisWolf and I added a few starter coral frags (zoas, candycane and mushrooms) to test the tank and lights.

He only plans to add more fish after more than a month.

A nice green torch coral would look nice in his tank if anyone has a frag.

HI

the Hydor Slim Skim skimme that you use es the Nano version or the big one?
I have the same boyu tl 550 i dont know if the sllim skin 250 would fit in the back chambers
