    Hi Everyone,

My small dream began last year July (2010) when my husband made the cardinal mistake of suggesting that we buy a small marine tank. So we took the plunge and bought a Boyu 550. To me this was a "manageable" size tank. Needless to say, 3 months down the line, the Boyu was not so "manageable" as it seems and I was upgrading to my ultimate tank. Hubby thought this was it - so he went along and we bought a 300 liter tank with a "huge" sump. Hubby warned... this is it :). No more..... Well..... another 2 months later I had this notion that I had to have a "tie-in" Display Refugium next to my display tank. The plan is to finally add 2 Seahorses to this tank. At this stage it is really brimming with all sorts of creatures and is feeding the main tank.

Sooo..... That was then... and this is now.....

The big urge got to me... AGAIN... I know I dont have to explain... I see this is the norm... This is the explanation I gave to hubby. "It must be a guys thing" Never satisfied... and this is what happened.

I ordered an Idol Marine tank. 1.5 X 1.2 X 600 Starfire rimless tank. It is a 3-sided viewing tank. We're about 1 month away of moving the existing stock to their new "villa".

A few pics of where I started to where I am now:

There you go.. Now its just patience

    My Dream!

Yesterday was the day I really feared. My current tank with inhabitants had to be moved in order for the new build to move to its final position. I was really nurveous, but Adriaan handled it like a pro. Within 20 min the 300liter tank was 3/4 empty and it was moved. Heavy.... BUT..Before I could really panick the water was back in and all was done. To top it all the Maroon clown decided to lay her eggs during the move. Everyone came through with flying colours.
Well the new tank is in its spot. Now its just a matter of finishing the project.

Thanks Adriaan and Edwin. Job done well!:thumbup::thumbup:

    :):):)

Thanks all. Hope I get the technical stuff right now. I have pretty much left the technical decisions to Adriaan. So here goes - Going with: (The main equipment)

    Lighting: 2 Sets Aquamedic 8 X 54W T5 lights
    Computer: Profilux 3
Skimmer : Reef Octopus 5000 EXT (Bubble Blaster)
Calc Reactor: Reef Octopus Multi Chamber
    Bio Reactor: Reef Octopus
    Kalkwasser: Reef Octopus
    Eiheim pumps
    4 X Vortech 40ES pumps
    (what else????)
    Sump : 1150 X 550 X 400
Next to the DT I have an existing Display Refugium with a DSB that will be tied into the sump.

This is the major equpment. Hubby has lost count and interest and only comments now and then that it seems theres more and more "stuff" everytime he comes home. ;) His job was to install the RO system and water reservoirs outside!

Thanks for your comments so far. Will keep u up to date as things progress. We're aiming to have the current livestock transferred by end of July. Holding thumbs.
