My DIY scrubber

    Very neat. Maybe you can add more light for better growth. See how it goes

    Looks OK.
    Just think you will need ventilation. Else you will get condensate on the globes and the electrical connections.

    What I found, normally when the scrubber is close to cleaning time is that the algae blocks up the flow at the point it comes out of the spray bar. Then I get water spraying away from the screen. The problem is that in your setup the globes are quite low and exposed. Water might run or drop on the globe (ouch).

    Ensure you put two pieces black plastic, like open \ / under spraybar to prevent algae blocking the spraybar where the water exit and to ensure any stray water streams are redirected to the screen.

    Yeah thanks Riaan I did add a piece of clear plastic over the spray bar and tied it to the screen.As for ventilation I'm not going to close my lit on top.Luckily my electrical connections are outside.

    most of guys are using 32 w and 45 w energy savers and they have 2 to 4 of them. But like i said, see how it go's if you not happy with the growth you can always add more
