I think it is time to start a thread for my cube.

I need to start off by giving thanks, credit and gratitude to Frans, for helping me on this project! Your advice and friendliness means the world to me!!!!

    Equipment so far:
    DT: will be 900 x 900 x 600
    Skimmer: Reef Octupus NW 150
    Circulation: Boyu WM-3
    Heater: Jager 300
    Lights: T5
The sump will host a nice DSB
    LR: 21kg's

Frans will be delivering the tank, stand a sump this week! Super excited!!

I went to Melkbos strand yesterday and collected 100L of water to keep my LR happy! At the moment I'm hosting the LR in a 110L container with my Boyu wave makers and heater.

The tank started out as a predator tank containing Lionfish. My wife and I found out 8 weeks ago that we are expecting our first child. So no, Nemo's and Dorries are in the mix. So 1 Lion and some big clowns will be swimming in the tank!

    Now for some pics:

Will post pics of the tank the minute I receive it!

    Cheers,

I have a question, I filled the 110L container Saturday :whistling:

Since then I have lost 10L, is this normal evaporation for 2 days?

I did check my heater again, I even brought the temp down to 22!

Yes, just add 10liters of RO to keep the salinity in check.

Received the tank and stand from Frans today. We discovered that we will need to lift the stand a bit more. Frans will be making another frame to fit into the other one lifting it about 10-15cm.

Going to clean out the tank tomorrow. Would vinegar and fresh water be fine?
Will also be getting a 800x800 board cut tomorrow for the sump to stand on.

Thanks for the effort so far Frans!
