:ey guys ok so I went through quite a rough time with my previous tank..

Was given some bad advice from the start that cost me a lot of money

My tank cracked which almost made me give up on this hobby, but hey I gave it another go and this time its going to be awsome and I know now that in this hobby you don't take just anybodys word for something....research first and then comes the making the desitions part

Anyway I got a starphire glass 900 litre tank that dorrys built for me (thanks for that guys your service was awsome)

While they where busy building that my fish was in the sump battling to stay alive, I had 2 clowns,2 dartfish, torch coral and kenya tree coral, unfortunately the dartfish got sucked in by my pump and didn't make it but the rest is ok...

And yesterday I got a yellow tang and 5 blue chromis which was still looking good by this afternoon and eating like pigs...so that's what I currently have and next on my list is some liverock as I only have 35kgs at the moment

So please whish me luck this time round so everything goes according to plan......

No the torch is purple in colour when the previous tank cracked I placed them in the sump and for some reason the torch and tree just opened and grew like mad. I read that the algae scrubber does this to coral as it does not take the food that the corals eat out of the water like the skimmer so I don't know why they are looking so good but hey I won't complain about that....

One question do blue/green cromis jump beacuse I found one this morning next to the tank so are they known to jump or what... I see the clowns will chase them when they come near but other than that they are not threatened by anything

Scanning thru some of my Links and I haven't found one that spacifically states that they jump...so maybe not as a "general rule" for this Species...but I will go so far and say that I'm 100% sure ANY fish will jump if "stressed" and also if the PH levels aren't right...?!...hmmm can't find that Article now...as I'm obviously looking for it...:p

Did some rockscaping and added a few corals :tt2:

also the GHA issues seems to be comming to an end (seemed like forever)
Im also getting some coraline algae going its still slow but its happening!!!!!
My tank is using almost zero calcium but I need to add 2 teaspoons of Barcarbonate of soda each day to keep the alk up anyone know why????? also my magnesium is stable (>1500)

so heres some pics hope you enjoy (sorry about the quality still need a decent camera)

Great tank! Sorry about the Tang, glad GHA is under control and be patient with coralline, it takes a while to grow.
Oh yes, glad you didn't give up, my first tank (19 years back) exploded in my parents lounge, I placed it on top of my mothers Chinese kist (she was not a happy camper), so we will all always be learning.
