nice shot mate:) thats a fairly younge worker bee, probably one of her first outforages, and the fact that she seems to be collecting nothing but liquid (likely sugar sollution) shows that the hive is probably doing quite well for that time of year:)

Also picked up the grazer at the expo. Even my Naso whom doesn't touch nori munches into it.

Only thing I don't like about it is the way my fish chow away at one side to the point where it forms a gap in the ring and falls off the suction cup. Lost 2 this way behind the rockwork... :-/

Very pleased with my Naso now eating his greens though :)

Also bought the grazer from Nathan. My fish go crazy for it, but i have not seen that they finish it. It leaches into the water for hours. So what I do now is, when they lose interest, I take it out. Do you substitute this with a feeding and leave it in. Maybe my fish just not that hungry for it? What worries me is that the skimmer drops when it leaches the oily substance into the water and takes an hour or so to get back to normal skimming. Have you experienced the same?

I cant comment on the skimmer as I've been working on the tank quite a bit this week so my skimmer is having a hard time overall.

Fed brine around 8 this morning and the grazer at 1pm'ish, was finished by 6. I do however have a large selection of tangs and a big foxface so they enjoy their greens. Can't say that I prefer the grazer over old school nori on a rock though... Doubt I'll get a refill.

I'm however looking for a pellet to replace my current formula 2 (green bottle). I find the small pellets too small and the medium size too large, quite a jump in size from small to medium, any recommendations?
@gMAN
Time for a bigger tank! I think you've successfully mastered this size :p

You lucky devil!!!! They are so cute. Its just that I dont have the nerve to feed them starfish on a regular basis otherwise I would have bought a pair!

I also have hundreds of Asterina's, but its after that as you say that I dont have the courage for :eek:. But OMW his so pretty!

Greg, you must take note if his colours change at all after chowing the Asterinas. I found he went his darkest blue after chowing a blue starfish.. not sure if that makes biological sense at all but it happened;)
gonna miss that bugger;)

Steve, I'm gonna take good care of this guy, will mail you pics at least once a week, will make note to check his colours after his chow downs..

Why not keep a couple of stars in your sump and alternate amputations between them?
Only cut 1/3 of a leg off at a time. That way the Star will regenerate for a next meal..

Just a thought.. May be better than sacrificing a star every time.. i couldnt even flush a gorilla crab..
I know the whole circle of life thing, in the ocean the star has a small chance of surviving,
just some food for thought.. lovely looking Critter either way.. good luck :)

@Nur
That was my exact idea. For now his job will be to eradicate the asterina's that seem to love chowing my zoa's then I plan on getting 2 stars and like you said, alternate the amputations giving them a good chance to grow back their limbs ;)
