I am generally shy about showing pics of the tank but I believe there is always someone who can tell you how to improve !

Here are the updates, from absolute newbee to today is around 9 months, so technically this baby has just been born.

Hi Muz - for such a "baby" tank, your tank is looking REALLY AWESOME! Wven with SPS! WOW!

What lighting are you using? And what skimmer do you run? Do you have a DSB?

Sorry about all the questions - but I am curious....
Thanks.

BTW: REALLY AWESOME MACRO PICS!

Here you go Jacques.. a pic of the sump, the problem I had was the sump had to be square. So the water comes down the fat blue pipe with the red ball valve, into a baffle - into skimmer ( Reef Octo 150 ), flows over into DSB, - baffels then return chamber, the small blue pipe with the blue ball valve is a bypass so I can reduce the flow through the DSB if I want or if I need more water cos my return chamber water is too low and I've been lazy.. LOL, it is my own design so I just pray it works.

OH, sorry, lighting I have 4 x T5's 2 x whte 2 x Actinic, and 1 x 150W Coralvue MH, for moonlight I use a Phillips tube you can see it in the pic.. can't remember what it is called though but it looks fantastic.

I have a bit if of a space issue so I have 2 tubes in each reflector.. not the best pic but you get the idea.

That looks really good Muz! I like your plumbing in the sump - I am quite sure it will work well! What water flow do you have through the tank? In-tank as well as from ther return?

Also, Muz - do you have enough detritus in the tank to warrant the keeping of a star-fish? How long have you had the star-fish for?
