    hey guys

interesting problem with my mushrooms. the purple ones I got a few weeks ago are flourishing, they have literally tripled in size. About 10 days ago I got another rock with some green shrooms on it, and they have basically stayed the same size. The rocks are next to each other in a low flow area, so I'm not sure why one would flourish and the other not?

    Water prams are perfect.

    these guys are hundreds

these green ones have stayed like this for over a week.

hmm well they seem to be staying pretty much the same size... Ive moved them to a more shady spot (not complete shade, but rather in indirect light) and low flow, but they just staying the same. on the plus side they're not dying. i really dont understand it, the other mushrooms have quadrupled in size. maybe this species is just taking longer to settle, or was a bit sick to begin with. will wait and see:thumbup:

lol, thanks jacques! im slowly figuring that out as we go along... i figure if they're not dead or dying, just leave them be and they will sort themselves out. i know my water is fine (bar my mishap last week... :whistling: but that's sorted now! ;) )

noticed this morning that the shrooms are looking a tad happier, albeit they seem to be changing colour - normal?

Interesting, I'm having a similar problem with 2 different types of mushrooms in my tank, they stay small and don't open up, I'll try move them a bit.

Yup, they go a metallic bluey color when happy

interesting thing dean. i find that the purple mushrooms can tolerate far more flow and light than the green striped ones - but that said, they still prefer indirect light and mine were definately at their best when i was running 3 x 54W T5's (2 x actinic and 1 x 10 000K )
