    Hi All,

I purchased a second hand MP40 Vortech. The unit is under one year one and
the wet side has gone faulty, I have the Green/Red flashing error. I have contacted Eco Tech Marine in the States and they have come back and let me know that I must contact my closest distributor to take care of the warranty claim.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated (not only to me but to my corals!)

    Thanks

check the nut in front of the impellar. It is slightly loose. And then the impellar runs slower than the shaft, eating up the inside of the impellar.

Be careful, the small pices of plastic from impellar could be worked in under the nut, and that strips the shaft. If it is the case, then you need to cut 1mm off from the backend of the empeller t be able to fit the nut on a section that is not stripped. Then uise a second locking nut.

I have taken the wet side from my other MP40 and I still get the same error. Even if I run the Dry side on its own the controller still flashed Red/Green.

@Smithers Aquarium depot are the sole importers of ecotech products. Where are you? @Idol Marine will be able to supply you with spares as Aquarium Depot are wholesalers

I wouldn't mess with the unit if its less than a year old, this will void the entire units warrsnty
