I need to move my tank and live stock, will be moving to nelspruit from jhb, I have 1 Long Tenticle Anemone, 1 Fire Shrimp, 1 Dancing Shrimp, 1 Cleaner Shrimp,1 Lion Fish, 1 Blue Cheek Goby, 3 Hermot Crabs, 3 Turbo Snails, 1 Clown Fish.

What would be the best way to transport these lovely animals, and then once I reach there, what would be the best way to get them back in the tank, I will obviously take my water, sand & Live rock.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

XV go to your LFS, ask them to show you how to tie the bags... Practice this on some empty air filled bags, fill with an air pump, untill you get the hang of it (bags not losing air), then bag each of the critters seprately and put in cooler.... Or you can maybe ask someone at the LFS to some and give you a hand...

Well, within the next 2 weeks I am planning to do all of this.

Thank you Singularity, will do that, do you think they will be ok for that 3.5 hours ? and then probably another 2 or 3 while I setup the tank or do you have any other idea what I can do once I reach my destination ?

    A Beautiful place!
Fill the bags with pure oxygen and maybe get oxygen tablets as well.
Just remember to acclimatise fish and inverts again as temp and pH will differ between bag and tank water.

    Hi

Come and see me and i will "show and tell" exactly how to do it.

If you do it right the fish, inverts and corals can stay in the bags up to 48 hours! giving you time to do it right.

    Strong's;)
