    hi,
can i put my RO unit outside? what about sun/heat? and will the ro piping become brittle due to sun/heat/uv?
can i have my RO unit far from collecting point, i.e. 10meter to drum?

Most people have their RO units inside the house. I have not seen/heard of anyone who placed it outside yet. So - unfortunately, I cannot comment on the piping.

The places that people use, is either in their bathrooms, in the garage, or in the kitchen.... wherever you have space.

The 10 metres distance should not be a problem. Otherwise, you might want to add a small pump before your RO filter, to improve the water pressure....

My RO unit is in the outside building, about 20mtrs from my tank, i use (rubber-green) micro sprinkler hose, same size as RO unit pipe, no problem watsoever. One to a resevoir for the tank and the pipe to my swimming pool, two top up's one go.;)

Mines the other way around, sort of
My RO unit and RO drum (90L) is next to my Lapa, Well the RO unit is protected from the sun and rain. The distance from RO drum to tank is over 7 meters. Using a 10m flexible fuel line hose and pump in RO drum to move the water. Just check the pump head on such a long distance. From Top-up unit I got a electrical cord running to RO drum to drive the pump.
