so im looking for the most silent pumps i can find for flow and for return because my nano is in my room and i have to put off at least one pump just to keep the nboise low enough for sleep.

im looking for something thats silent in the start and with regular cleaning stays silent.

Any suggestions please its driving me mad

Totally agree with Mekaeel- the nano streams are dead silent and give really great flow.

For return Eheim= silence. Ocean Runners are also pretty quiet IMO

HHHmmm - very good brand pumps those. BUT, to be extremely honest - my LifeTech return pump is also just as quiet? I really don't hear it in my tank's sump.....

They also good. Mine is silence. I have a AquaH2o return pump. Silent also. Most of the new one's are fairly silent.

Remeber guys there is nothing else runnung in my room i can sleep with music playing but thatfaint sound u hear from someones earphones does irritate me. Altho now my tank is taken out my room for upgrades i do miss it a **** load. Btw its a 48 liter tank will a sunsun pump just be too much? How would the seio m250 suffice? Or the seio prop 320? Those are my powerheadsuggestions so far what u guys think? also noise is a factor, im now thinking of the tunze nanostream but do i reall want to spend so much?

No doubt, the Lifetech pumps are cheap and silent. I have used them in the past and still run one on my frag tank.
I think the flow from all of the pumps mentioned might be too heavy. I also have a Boyu TL450. I will be putting in a little Lifetech 600lph pump in there for circulation.
It currently has a 700lph Lifetech pump, but it is too powerful and is blowing my substrate all over the aqua scaping.

U see the reason being i have had this tank a while now, i had an 800lph powerhead plus another 600liter circulation pump if you take that into account nothing blew around say i want 40 times turnover, wana keep lps, i need randomn flow, wich means if i use a seio m250 wich is a thousend liter an hour and a return of 800lph i still dont have enough flow, well thats my opinion, so back to the drawing board again

Ha ha all too true i do stay up way later than i should most prob because of the tank in my room, and im not shy to say i fell asleep infront of it. Bt when i do wanna sleep and those pumps are ratteling or whining its the most irritating thing

So from everything i have read on this forum is most people prefer the tunze pumps, i quite like them and their build but id have to save up longer for just the one pump than for my skimmer wich dont make sense to me one bit, then there are people that prefer seio because they are more afordable and still good. Imo
