:( ..hey there all.......not sure whether to laugh or cry ... but my sand anemone just stung killed and is busy digesting my newest fish a royal gramma(R390).....all was healthy this morn ...got a call from the domestic to say fish wasnt moving and was stuck in the rock close to anemone...came in this afternoon to find fish dead stuck to anemone getting sucked closer in to its mouth

I plucked fish from its tentacles and phoned LFS....was advised to chuck fish...but deceided to feed it to the nemmie anyway seeing as it worked so hard for its meal ....it probably deserved it.....

I normally feed the nemmie cheap hake I guess it got tired of being a cheap date....:) ...just thought i would fill u guys in for a laugh as well

Aaaaaah! I Know how that Feels!

Bougth a Large Powder Blue for R450 had it in my tank
for 2 Days! Then my Carpet nemmie got hold of
it! With A few Bangai's and Shrimps! So I swoped it for
    A Leather Coral!

yup thallion...i have a pair and i think i put the evil eye on one yest when i was talking to them saying they were the prettiest fishes in the tank...serves me right ....water parameters and vitamins and all 100% ....and have been prepping tanks water quality over the last 2 weeks for a hammerhead in the coming days so have been watching parameters carefully...fish has been in tank feeding properly and growin for abt 2 weeks....

    stupid nemmie

just find it funny...just when u get the tank right ...something changes it ...

Shiks - I am REALLY sorry to hear this.... BUT - I have nemmies, and have had them for a VERY long time.... Nemmies does not "automatically" sting and kill a fish..... Quite a few of my fish have been "stung" (all my fish are healthy) by my big heteractis magnifica (50cm in diameter already), but they recovered perfectly well....
So, unfortunately I need to say that my personal opinion is that the royal gramma was not healthy to start with. Even though it looked healthy to you....

I would agree with this, except for a Carpet nenny which will take a fish in the tank. I have had my sand nenny for 6yrs and has never been a problem.
