There’s something about Lytro’s light field camera which is especially well suited to telling the story of an aquarium. Being able to focus in on different layers of the reef aquarium aquascape transports the viewer to the scene, and adequately conveying the sense of depth that a photo represents. Or in the case of the image above, how this longnose hawkfish was hogging the camera lens while we tried to shoot a Montipora in the foreground and a brilliant pink birdnest in the background. We told you Jan Willem’s reef in the Estherea Hotel is the bomb, now here’s another family sized portion of aquarium light field photographs so you can enjoy it too.*
