This is the other one. The gold angel is very nocturnal and shy. The gold flake is mush more active and striking. Grows a little bigger as well. Anyway I am sure David will be able to obtain either for you.

Thanks you for that @Nemos Janitor I think the goldflake will be to large for my tank which is a TL550, I would love a unique dwarf angel to be the show piece of my aquarium I had a Caribbean Cherub, mine was prob 3 cm and super active with loads of character I agree that goldflake is a beautiful fish

No problems bud. IMO the golden angel is just so shy and never displays is beauty as seen in books. As a show specimen in a tank ??? I think you may be disappointed. But hay gust my opinion. A beautifully fish though.

I didn't know that they so shy, and I appreciate experienced guys like you commenting on thread like these I had no idea, I have a TL550 what would you think is a good show piece, don't blow the bank but equally unusual (I'm that kind of guy) I choose the golden as its gorgeous in pictures and non aggressive also I have never seen a live specimen (only a dead one that a LS killed with a piece of live rock)

I didn't know they so shy, they seemed the perfect selection for my TL550, I want something unusual, I love flame angels but every last guy has one

bob the reef builder has a golden angel in his massive tank, and whilst it was shy, when you did see it it took your breath away. i wouldnt look at one in a smaller tank due to their secrative nature, they like a large tank that they can settle and have space before they realy come out to play. but certainly a beautiful fish:)

I have had one for 5 years now, they are not an easy fish at all many dont feed, mine has a very special place in my soft coral section, it was initially shy but is now always out but I should point out it ate only live aquarium fare and algae growing for the first 2 years it now though eats virtually all i offer.
Due to its cryptic and shy nature the only time I could get a good photo was prior to adding it to my aquarium

The fish is fatter than ever and doing very well but they can not be bullied or have to much competition I subscribe my success with this one to him being the only dwarf angel in my soft coral section of the aquarium

Hi @Achillies how often do you see it now? Would I be rude if I asked to come see your tank (and hopefully your golden)?
