Hi guys, I want to mod my TS1 a little bit. I saw i thread on RC where the guy fitted the air inlet into his collection cup's lid. This apparently prevented CA clotting and created negative pressure allowing the cup to collect bubbles easier and also resulted in finer bubbles in the skimmer body. Also I have a few 1900lph Viaqua's lying around, and came up with the idea to fit a recirculating pump onto the skimmer, wich I believe could create more, smaller bubbles, only thing bothering me a bit is the extra flow within the skimmer body. Any opinions?

i wont do the recirculating thing...rather just go for the pin wheel or buy a dnw110(this you can have two pumps..the feeding pump and the recirculating pump:p)

Once you have done the pinwheel upgrade you won't need any other mods, makes these skimmers work very well.

Don't know the King pumps, but works better than the mesh upgrade on the Reef Octo pumps.

Lanzo sells them and any other Reef Octo dealer

Damn, I also have the King3 pump, guess the only option will be to upgrade then, or create space for a scrubber.

I would recommend replacing the King pump with a Reef Octopus pump (the ones with the new bigger venturi) and then also put in a pin wheel impellor, that would be 100% better.
