Milky water

    Hi guy's my water became milky after adding the reactor with np pellets and it's affecting the coral what should I do.

    You added too much np pelletts. You have a bacterial bloom. Add a airstone to water to increase oxygen. Bacteria will consume ocygen and can cause a tank crash

    I had the same problem when I dosed too much alcohol.

    Apart for getting more air in, in the longer term, you also need to get rid of the white cloud (bacteria) that is in the tank.
    I did this by placing a pump in the display tank with a stocking at the output end (to create a small balloon).
    I washed the sock every 30 minutes for the first few hours, and left it to run overnight.
    By morning, my tank was clear, with no losses.

    Be very careful with any form of carbon dosing, make sure you know a LOT about it and go SLOW.

    Guy's after adding the air stone water has cleared up, now i reduced the np pellets to half with the air stone will this be ok.

    The NP Pellets? Did you rinse it before first use?
