Hi all. I started using seachem phosgaurd. After i changed it with new pellets the water went milky, looks like dust in the water. Thought it was the phosgaurd dust. But it didn't go away. I dose daily with reef foundation abc+. So tested water and found ca and mg through the roof, i cant even find a result, its too hight for my salifert test kits, but alkalinity was on 6,1. Can the milky water be a result of the mg and ca binding?? Please help, my fish and corals dont look good at all. Thanks in advance

    Did you rinse the phosgaurd?

If parameters are out, you can get calcium precipitating. But that causes a snowstorm effect that normally settles after a few days.
Stop dosing the reef foundation for now. A water change will help get parameters back in check. Are you dosing anything else?

I have stopped the reef foundation since monday. Only dosing bicarb to get alkalinity up. Been dosing since monday in small doses, dont want to bump it too fast. Will do another water change today.
