Thought I would share the process of the tank so far.

its been 7 months since I first started marine. Added a small HOB refugium 2 months ago and my nitrates have dropped from 20ppm + down to 2ppm.

Still cant get over how beautiful marine is!
When I move next year Im gonna try my hand at a 4 foot which I picked up for R200.

Cool, great to hear you are enjoying the hobby...good luck with the 4ft when you start it up!

I see a battle.net icon on your pc...what blizzard games you playing?

Looking great and I love your refugium idea. If I may what do you use as filtration, I could only see a small internal filter

I use filter wool in the internal that i change every 2 to 3 days. Other than that nothing else. I do a 10% water change every sunday.

I do like my online gaming! Battle.net is for star craft 2 and origin is for battlefield 4. Im pretty much addicted to BF4. 290 hours and counting and that excludes the 150 hours I had on my ps3. Think i need to see a shrink.

:lol: Also plying BF3 and 4 to much time to count... What type of container did you use I want to borrow from your idea if you don't mind.
 
I got the container from plastic land in raslouw mall. Its one of those small reptile/fish enclosures. IIRC it was R50 or something like that. They have 3 different sizes. This one was the middle size.

This is the tank. I just got a 10w led flood light for R100 and it fits perfectly on the opening(that little clear plastic lid).

lol thats a lot of hours...never been a FPS gamer myself...just never got into them. I'm just a Blizzard game addict in general...play every game thats out there of theirs. :blush:
