    Hi guys,

I have been away for the last 12 days leaving my tank in the care of an auto feeder and an inexperienced helper who kept the skimmer clean and the auto top up tank filled.

What he didn't notice was a rapidly thinning Midas blenny
And when I mean thin I mean Ethiopian with a eating disorder thin.

I suspect the auto feeder placed the flakes on the water surface and neglected the water column where the blenny eats.

    Anyway.
I don't want to loose him, and I can't get him to accept anything.
Frozen food, live food. He wants non of it.
Imo he will be lucky to last another day, if that

Any way I can get him to eat??
    Or force feed him?

    Thanks in advance

If you had tried different food options, and he wants none of them. Eish.

Unless you can move him in the rock he is hiding to a quarantine holding tank so that other fish do not bother him.

i'm not holding thumbs, i might be able to transfer him.
but i doubt this will have any impact on him starting to eat.
    its not a nice sight...

dont remove him, that will add to the stress, turn of all flow and return, feed the tank after water has settled and leave for 10min and see then.

Try adding a food that stays in the tank for a while, like new era blocks, reef paste or even ocean nutrition angel formula smeared into a rock.

Took flakes of all things today! I think recovery is going to be slim. Going to be doing a lot of little feeds to help ensure his tummy is always full.

He first took very little and then no more. An hour later I tried again and he ate 2 bigger pieces and nothing more.

Hoping the next feed he takes in even more

    I'm holding thumbs!!

Eating flakes is a very good start. Continue small amounts often and he/she should fatten up in no time
