    Hi All
i wanted to maybe put this to a vote and see what comes of it , but not sure how

during my time on MASA , i have managed to purchase many things from fellow members and i am very grateful this is available

1 gripe i have about this is the location of members .
members state that they are based in a location , but it is vaguely stated , and it ends up being a mission to either find the place , or ends up being a trek across the country

i know as i dont have much free time , accurate locations would help in deciding wheather to conclude the deal or not
sometime trekking across the country can be worth while but other times this is not the case

i know some people would be reluctant to provide accurate locations, maybe for security reason or other reason , but indicating a suburb would not be to accurate to offend or make anyone nervous

lets discuss , i am interested to know what others think

just a suburb name is just as confusing. Newlands... which one.

or ask them to use the map function.
    Go to google Maps
get the place, right click, click on "What's here?"
Copy the coordinates in the address box.

    paste it in your post
    -25.865393,28.166643

then wrap MAP tags around it, one of the buttons available above the post text box, second from the right
    [MAP]-25.865393,28.166643[/MAP]

    there is Dorry Pets.

To have the gps co-ordinates on your location will not be the right thing to do & could be dargerous. Just my 2c

in your PM when you do the sale. instead of giving directions. Easier.

i have found i would place dibs on stuff and find out sellers are in cape town , which isnt too small and nor are places like JHB or Durbs , after the sale is over , you find out the half way across CPT

so i thought if an accurate location was given and people didnt want to make the trek , they would rather stay out of the sale , then commit and either let the buyer down , or continue with the sale .

this is especially true when there are multiple items for sale, and there are lots of buyers interested, it would hopefully reduce un neccesary booking and facilitate quicker sales

Yes, I definitely feel the same about this. I've more than once placed dibs on items from guys from "Johannesburg" & the one was in lenasia south & the other was actually from Heidelberg?!?
From where I stay in PTA & Brits, that means an additional hour's drive just to get there (from my originally planned JHB trip). So yes! That's a great Idea, & I'm going to change mine as well!

& guys not having a location at all is just dumb (no offence @MistaOrange  hint hint:whistling:)
You need at least a city/province when selling something...
