    Hey guys.
I just bought a brand spanking new Boyu TL450 today for my office as it goes with the colour of the office. I really wanted to play around with something small as the 1100l SPS reef is almost zero maintanance. Already filled with water, Caribbsea Aragonite, Zeolites and a few kg's of LR. I will post pics soon (my birthday tomorrow so please dont put pressure on me for pics :p ) and give more info regarding filteration and livestock etc.... :)

    Happy Happy for tomorrow,

First things first take the standard skimmer out and try and get a better one, I currently have the Buyo WG308 skimmer in my one, but I am trying to get an OCTOPUS NANO SKIMMER now from Australia for the tank.

Great show Mekaeel! OK - so no pics (for now) - understood. BUT, what about some more info on what you are planning to keep in there?

BTW: I congratulated you on your "Happy Birthday Mekaeel" thread that Chikaboo was so nice to start up for you!

    Thanks guys
Will snap some later on today.
In terms of livestock, the tank will mainly be LPS, softies, Zoa's and maybe a twig or two right at the top. I will be taking this tank very slow and carefully choosing livestock.
As far as fish go, im going to put in a pair of Clowns (dont know which ones yet).

For now im running the standard skimmer for mechanical filteration, but might upgrade at a later stage if im not happy with the results. For biological filteration the tank will holds about 6-8 kg's LR and has a shalllow sand bed about 2-3cm's deep using Caribsea Aragonite.
For my chemical filteration im going the same route I have used on my other systems, that is Vodka, Zeolites and a bacteria strain (Micro bacter 7) .
I think that pretty much covers it (except for pics :p )?
