    Morning to all!

Does anyone know, or seen Macaryn Plus in any LFS? I'm looking for a
good broad Spectrum Antibiotic for the medicine cabinet.

Looking to have it by hand if someone gets ill. Better to look for it now
Than when someone is already sick!

    Thanx.

I am not supporter of "general" antibiotic use in aquariums. The bacteria build up a resistance to the antibiotic and becomes almost imposable to treat. It is important to ensure that the medication administered is in line with an accurate diagnosis of the infection/ disease. IMO

Thanks @Nemos Janitor I did some reading regarding antibiotics! Treating gram negative and gram postive! But then you also have to be exact in your diagnose otherwise that treatment will not work either! So I thought well then a broad spectrum will work better If it happens that you don't have the diagnose spot on! That was my thougths!

Christo, it is indeed very good to be prepared. In SA antibiotics are only available through prescription though. Even then, because of the costs involved, they rarely do bacterial culture and sensitivity analysis and will probably prescribe a broad spectrum AB. My vet...amoxicaline...others Baytril (enrofloxacine) ect
