    Hi

Looking for one of these Meanwells or something similar in the 48V @ 700ma minimum. It has to the "D" version that is dimmable with a 0-10V input.

Joburg or Cape Town is fine.

    Thanks

Hi, I have 5 of those drivers selling really cheap, R300 each. They practically new, had them just tested to see if they work. I have some Bridgelux 3w blue and white led with lenses and a 45cm x 22cm Heatsink USA. You can build a cool diy led with all this.

Its 1 heatsink, R900. I was going to cut in half and make 2 led units out of it. This thing has massive fins for heat and is quite heavy. I also have 2 of Arctic cooling fans which has controllabe speeds. O yes there is also a Typhoon controller.

Thanks.. I'll feel better if we arrange 1st dibs till month end..? I've had so much "suprises" lately that I'm currently in a "what can go wrong, will go wrong" state of mind..:p I want to try for my TL 450 so I'm hoping by getting piece by piece, I'll eventually have all...I do want those fans...if they are not massive...I DEFINATELY want Dimming Function...it that why it's D and not P..? I don't understand hence not really buying as all I need is to end up buying wrong stuff...I really am useless when it comes to LEDs..:p

    D is analogy dimming
P is PWM dimming or digital id you will

You need to ask yourself how are you going to dim your led's and this will tell you which driver to get

The driver very accurately controls the current supplied to the led's in order to , for example , run them at 60 percent of max safe operating voltage ... the controller on the other hand supplies different programs by wish to control things like sunrise , sunset ect.

    ...:confused1:..:confused1:..:confused1:..Sorry...I'm absolutely useless...
    [/QUOTE]
Now this I can do....I think...:p I want a Unit that starts up slowly and increases automatically..and obviously "fades" out...the normal sunrise/sunset jobby...I also would like to be able to dim the LEDs so that I could reduce there "intensity" according to whatever Tank depth I use..I don't want to manually switch on my Lights and then off again at night...

PWM is pulse wave modulation easiest way of thinking of it is digital

no your not you just need to dig deeper
    not always
exactly the thyphoon controller has pwm
@belindamotion the controller is one of the biggest parts of your build. its the brains of your build
personally i like the thyphoon controller avalible from www.boostled.com

www.rapidled.com also make a pwm controller but its not as easy to use

Reef aquatics (sponsor) also have options for controllers.

reef angel and profilux also have pwm and anaology controllers.

so it boils down to what controller do you what in the end.
