    Hello people,

I need your help, I have a bio pellet reactor that's quite big, but the connectors to inlet and outlet are 11mm so only a 10mm tubing can go onto there.

I already tried a 4000lph pump and it moves the media very very slowly, I want to go a bigger pump but worried about what is the max amount of flow I can shoot through 10mm tubing ?

    thanks people

Depends on length of the pipe plus number of elbows.

will also get more water through using a bigger diameter pipe and at the reactor have a reducer to 10mm.

thnaks Riaan, there is not a long pipe run, only from sump to reactor whis is outside the the sump. Also no bends or elbows.

Wont there be too much pressure when going into the 10mm reducer, I'm thinking of connecting up a 5000lph but so scare to pump so musch water through a 10mm tubing :-(

wherever the reducer will be. With a 5000L/h pump you stand a change of pooping the plumbing. So make sure the clamps are ok. What size outlet does the pump have?
Use pipe diameter from the pump on that diameter and only reduce it at the reactor.

You also stand the chance of burning the pump out! 10mm is tiny and will create too much back pressure and not allow the water to move through the pump fast enough!

The diff betweeen the 5000 and 4000 wil probibly not be worth it as you can only shove so much water down a 10mm pipe
