this is the number 1 gem tang collector in Mauritius i think over 90% of all gems from Mauritius was collected by him Sagar's dad

and a nother legend is Daniel Pelicier (the debelius angel collector )
he is even friends with Jack Randel and many more . 3 fish are named after him ...

    Cool!

So what fish did you bring back other than the Gem tang?

All those fish Shane ordered arrived back here in good condition - not one loss even though the bag temps must have been <20 deg C.

Must say, I really love those Macropharyngodon cynoguttatus wrasse they catch there. Hpe the 3 we got make it in the long term.

Actually it's not allowed to collect fish here for the public, only 3 companies has the right to collect fish here..... So apart from them, anyone catching fish is stealing fish the from the Mauritian seas:whistling:

According to the laws those who possesses the right to collect must only collect by special nets in accordance to the Ministry of Fisheries. Collection spots, time of collection must be indicated for every collection + the nets are kept at fisheries station after any collection.... So from this it's obvious, I for one, when I know someone is collecting fish without a permit am not really happy:Randy-git:

Thanks Yuri and Sagar. Are residents allowed to catch for their own tanks. We get permits here which allow us to catch for personal use, but not for sale. There must be a lot of illegal collecting going on if they only issue permits to 3 companies?
