okay well the holiday got of to the worst start imaginable, checked in with the family, boarded the plane , put the seat belt on, waited for about 30mins and then.........as the plane turned on the run way.............first time in my life........KIDNEY STONE!!!........OMG!!!, that shit it hectic.
i had to endure a 3.5 hour plane ride, passing a kidney stone with no pin killers!
that pain is something else.....its so intense you break out in cold sweat and nausea!.......anyway, luckily it passed after 2 hours so i was left with what seemed like a bruised kidney on arrival..........lol........hectic.......good news is im om magnesium citrate and all seems good for now.
well e settled in yesterday and managed to go see our good friend Sagar "mauritius aquarist" who unleashed a tirade of stories of masa members who had gone to see him after my trip last year........lol
you reefers are crazy........i heard stories of 20+ fish getting sent in luggage bags etc etc......lol, makes me think of my early days in this hobby.......lol:thumbup:
anyway this morning we have our first dive and i thought id show you some pics of sagars operation............as usual, gem tangs are abundant, so get your local lfs to contact him for livestock.

As always awesome stunning pics ... Thanx for sharing ...Gives us unfortunate buggers here a piece of the action ..... No offence to your lighty but the way this pic came out with him in the background makes him look like a miniature breed of seal kept in tank that is wearing a yellow tshirt and has a goldie (looks like) tail ... sitting ontop a pvc pipe about to eat a goldie (also not sure) gem ..... his ear is the seal's eye and his left hand is the seal's flipper

Enough with the gem tang pics. I'm green with envy. Enjoy the diving. Are you going to blue bay at all?

yip........its worth the convincing.....been comming now for over 10 years and still loving it, must admit reefs are not looking as good as they used to but there are some protected places to dive.......in general mauritius is moving forward, and fast.......id go as far as to say its a more econimicaly viable place to be than s.a.......but there are lots of factors / pros and cons
