    Hi all,

    Thought I would start a thread for my current 4 ft tank...

    This was originally a tropical tank. I then visited my LFS who was kind enough to sell me just about everything I didn't need.

    Friends on MASA recommended I have a hole drilled as the system suggested by the LFS was gonna wet my carpets.

    My small sump was then taken apart and a larger one built.

    The sump has a very interesting home made Protein Reskimmer built in. This think kicks butt...

    Now it was time to sort out the canopy and cabinet:

    Canopy...

    2 x Petmasters T5 54W Ballasts with 2 x White 10000k and 1 x Actinic and 1 x Coral Blue Globes. I have 4 PC fans to help with heat in the canopy.

    We hit a small snag with drilling the hole into the base but managed to get around the problem:

    Looking good. FYI the corals are in the order you posted;
    Zoas,
    Button polyps,
    Pulsing(?) xenia,
    (colour when open) star polyps
    Mushrooms.

    Whats the white nennie looking thing in the last pic? On the left hand side...

    O, you must mean my 1 inch Juvenile Lion Fish! There is a Raccoon Butterfly in there somewhere too and a sand shifting star...

    All that algae can meen that your po4 are too high,.

    Hi,

    Ja, we had a thread going about this on Wednesday...I did a water change on Sunday and seems better now. That water was about 4 weeks old.
