Marron freshwater crayfish

    Hi, is it legal in South Africa to keep Marron in a smallish tank? :blush:

    No. Marron is a blacklisted species.

    Unfortunately it's illegal to keep any FW invertebrates here in SA

    I am talking about the principle, surely there are blaclisted marine life as well. It would be nice to obtain any such info without spending hours searching.

    you can keep marron if you can obtain the correct permits.
    there are people farming with marron in our country.

    Sure Steve - have you seen the EIA costs and the requirements for the permits? The average hobbyist cant get those permits.
