I picked up a 200l AquaH20 + stand/cabinet, sump and equipment for R1 000 of Gumtree a few months ago. It was quite dirty as it stood in storage for over a year.

I had a friend redo the silicone and elimate the rust from the steel in the stand.
The T5 unit and return pump is from the seller.

I also replaced the sump and I rather used my own heaters and a Hydor Skimmer from TSR. (The ones included looked a bit dodgy)

(Got a lof of equipment from the seller but one of the air pumps literally exploded when I tested it!).

So here is my new tank:

    Tanks:
    - DT : 90cm x 45 cm x 50cm - about 200 liter
    - Sump : 80cm x 45cm x 45cm - about 150 liter

    Skimmer : Hydor Slim Skim

    Lighting:
4x39W T5 Hopar unit for DT
4x24W T5 Odessey unit for sump

    Heating:
    200W + 150W in the sump

    Flow:
    2xTurbelle 6095 (and a 7096 controller)

    Chinese Auto Topup system

    In the tank:
    - CaribSea Aragonite
    - DSB not yet at 15cm - I need one or two more bags!
    - Liverock a mix of liverock and I had circulating in a container for a few months. (Some actual liverock and some dry liverock I got with the tank).
    - Cheato in the sump
    - Sponges, Filterwool, Phosguard & Purigen in the sump
    - Candy cane coral and a tube worm to test if the liverock is as mature as I hope.

    Two more pics:

    Planned upgrades:
    - LED lighting is enroute! Will post details when I get it.
    - To be added - CUC + 2x fire shrimp + 2xcleaner shrimp
    - Plan to move my 2 tomota clowns to this tank
    - Hoping on adding a copperband butterfly as well

    Time for an update:

Tank finished cycling a while ago.
Upgraded my lights - rocking new CREE LEDs!

Added a CUC, some corals and a royal dottyback.

Also got 2 clams - they were in my Boyu, but my hermits were knocking them over daily, so I'm putting the in this tank to see whether they will be happier.

The new LEDs - lovely shimmer on the water!

Royal Dotty back - named Hunt by my 3 year old daughter (who is Afrikaans!)
She immediately proclaimed that this is her fish ...

This dotty takes on the shrimps! Seems ready to have a go at the Tunze pump as well...

Love this fireshrimp - loves to parade in the open ...

    Open brain -added recently
    [IMG]

First inhabitant - worm ... Seems to thrive in the tank,
    [IMG]

PH is holding at around 8, and temp at 25 most of the time ...

Any suggestions on tank mates for a Royal Dottyback?

I don't know about tank mates, but will have to be something that won't be easily bullied.
The dottybacks can be quite aggressive and territorial, specially when they are added first.

Tank starting look really nice, like the upgraded light. Dude the dottyback is going to be a serious problem when you add new fish, I agree with Mc and can be a pain to catch. If im you would try and get him out now then struggling later when all stock has settled. Really like your pumps. Is that the 6095? How do you find them?

I'm getting a a new 1250+l tank next week. Will prepare, cycle it, add other livestock and then maybe move the Royal Dottyback to the big tank once other tank mates are in.

I have 2 Tomato clowns in my original Boyu - was thinking of moving them into the same tank as the
Dottyback. (They are agro buggers themselves - they bite me when I try to nuke the aiptasia...)

Alternatively I hoped to place a flame angel in with him.

But seems he'll have to go to the big tank when its time.

Pumps are 6095s - they rock. Creates awesome random flow. Have them running of the 7096 controller and it is great fun to "program" your pumps.

Backup plan - have a empty Boyu 550 that I want to mod still. If I get that set up in the near future I might pick tank mates for the dottyback, settle them in first and then introduce the dottyback.

They will have to look close enough to each other to fool my daughter - can't break my three year old's heart - will rather keep the tank with only the one fish in!
Will keep my eyes out for a royal gramma when I visit my LFS again.

That's great news! I guess it would still be better to move out the dottyback and bring him back when the others are in.

Do you think I can have it all? Clowns, Flame & dotty back in that tank?

Should be ok, if they are maroon clown they will also be quite aggressive and the dwarf angels can hold there own.

Been quite busy the last couple of months. Working on a new 1250 liter tank when I get the chance. Hoping to have it filled before the end of the month. (Will post pics in a seperate thread).

Did however get a chance to make an addition to my AquaH2O tank that I have wanted for months!

My new beauty - Deep Water Flame Angel.

It is. I should probably do updates as I have a lovely goby and toby in there at the moment with my flame angel and royal dottyback. The corals did not do very well, either my LED unit is not doing what I am expecting of it, or I have it setup wrong. Corals currently in the sump under a T5 unit and flourishing.

This tank is likely to become my quarantine tank for the monster.

Lots of plans, not so lots of time to do them all in....

Basically I want to run the big tank, a quarantine tank and 2 Boyus. (1 Boyu with nemos and a nenny for my daughter, and the other with seahorses). Once big tank is fully up and running I can start moving livestock over to it and free up some of the other tanks for when I have time.

Still looking for someone to do a Boyu hood LED mod job, or for one of the sponsors to bring a Boyu LED in at an affordable price.
