Not sure in the Namib or Western Cape, but up in Gauteng, we have access to loads of different products. I have settled on the Pure Reef Supplements, good price and does a great job.

You could look at TM's product, but little more pricey. Know Seachem also do a full range.

I use Iodine (once a month), Magnesium (every week with WC), Strontium (every week with WC) and the stock standard Dischem Kalk with all my RO top-up water.

One other "supplement" or food is the Kent Chroma, Phyto and Zoo Max products I dose every two days (after lights out), alternating between the 3 products

yeah dallasg, been using some of those :) was just wondering, cause I'm adding marinevit from SERA to my tank for the corals and the stuff - but I think it's a little WAAAAAY too much diluted. Use like a small bottle almost a week!

You can use TM bio calcium which contains buffers, calcium and all trace elements in one powder. The Kent filter foods are good and reasonably prices. Coral frenzy is good bang for your buck.

These are all plankton food. The Max products are very concentrated. This is coral food.

Quite expensive when you consider the amount you get, but will last you ages.

If you need an LFS in the Northern Surbarbs PM me.

my tropic marine one cost about R110, and it treats 200-500L per serving, since its about 1 gram per serving looks like it will last me forever

Are you talking about supplements as in coral foods or chemical supplements like magnesium and strontium etc.?
