    You're totally welcome to some, though some don't seem to ship very well in small amounts of water. Might be better if you collect some or get someone to fetch when they're in KZN? Will be a lot better in a bucket.

    I've finally managed to get some of the local blue Dictyota to take. Tried many times without success, but seems the LEDs are what was needed.

    It's a really nice, bright blue:

    I dont mind a weak Rand, suits me very well.
    Problem is most likely trying to get this past customs if you import it....

    Was at the beach this weekend and saw this and was wondering if anyone tried growing this. I would love to get some if only they grew under T5's

    Any idea what the blue bulberry looking bulb u see in the rock pools are? Its a single bulb blue in colour with grenade type apperance. coral or algea.

    You can give it a go, dude. Mine did nothing under 6x T5s, but there might have been another parameter out at the time that was stopping it from growing. The piece I have at the moment has doubled in size under LED.

    They're lollipop ascidians (sea squirt). Very difficult to keep alive unless you've got a proper NPS system.
