We've been asked to provide some more info on our range of Marine Magic Auto Triple Dosers, so here goes:

We carry a full range of spares and are ready to assist should any problem arise.

The unit is completely modular, consisting of a mother board, DC motors, pumps, temp sensor,

Just a little info of how to set them up and how I set them up for our customers:

Decide the volume of canisters to use, e.g a 5 Litre bottle, decide long you want this to last i.e 2 weeks.

    Then:

    5000 ml/14 days = 357 ml p/day

You want to dose every alternate hour i.e 12 times:

375ml/12 doses = 29.8 ml for 12 times a day (you are limited to 16 doses)

    Calibration:

    1) Now with just using plain water check how much time it takes pump 1 to dose 29.8ml in seconds. Lets say your pump takes 30s at speed 4then set as follows:

No of doses Time "on" time in sec (ml) dosed
    1 00:00:00 30 29.76
    2 02:00:00 30 29.76
    3 04:00:00 30 29.76
    4 06:00:00 30 29.76
    5 08:00:00 30 29.76
    6 10:00:00 30 29.76
    7 12:00:00 30 29.76
    8 14:00:00 30 29.76
    9 16:00:00 30 29.76
    10 18:00:00 30 29.76
    11 20:00:00 30 29.76
    12 22:00:00 30 29.76
    357.14 p/day (lasts 14days)

Now all you need to do is calculate how much Alk, Ca or and supplement is consumed by your tank and add 14 days worth.

With the above calculation your parameters of the supplement will remain stable and your SPS happy !!!

The link below is quite handy for calculating dosing amount for your tank volume and brand of additive:

    'Reef Chemistry Calculator FV'

One of our tanks use 1dKh of ALk a day and I need 55g of Seachem Reef Builder to for 2L to maintain my Alk at 9, the bottle will run out in a week
I then used a 5L bottle and multiplied my dosage by 2.5 so now 2.5x55g= 137.5g into a 2L bottle keeps my ALK stable for 21 days.

    Hope this helps !

do you guys have the replacement tubing for this doser?

reason for me asking is that they are great dosers and ive have mine now for just over a year however the tubing does wear away and needs replacing.

id think a doser that sends you a extra pump, that would mean that the pumps seem to be crappy. from what i have read on reef central

of the 47 units I sold I needed to send out 2 users new pumps, and when I enquired how they we using the units, the one user advised her was dosing for + 2hours everyday which is pretty heavy for any any doser to handle.

I advise to dose 30 sec x 12 times a day, my doser is running problem free for 2 years.

He has thus changed his setup and advised of no problems at all.

I think you are talking about the older triple display units, the new units have a timer lock that overrides any duration setting, so if this is set to say for e.g 2mins, the pumps shut off irrespective of what individual motor is set too.

They send a spare as good will, wait till u need to replace one.
If you believe everything you read, then no equipment is worth it, I have seen many threads on all kinds of products saying they break, I myself replaced 2 motors and one head on my old profi doser

Me too, and I use it, but feel it's way overpriced, that's why I think this doser would've been perfect (I can hear @dallasg giggle in the back ground.):)
