    Hi all,

Would like to know what devices do you keep spares for?

The list I can think of is:

    1. Extra return pump
    2. Extra heater (if you don't have 2)

The list should not be for power failures, must be for when something critical breaks on your system and you can't get replacement for 72 hours.

If this happens, you should at least have a bucket of 20-50L of capacity to hold the livestock. Also a flow pump or an airpump just to incrwease circulation(I prefer the little intank filters because then you can clean it to get rid of the fish poo and other filth in the water. This will help to keep the water fresh for the time). A heater is always a must and if you have corals you can just have a extra energy saver lamp to keep them alive in that time or you can put them in the sun but this will give huge temp swings and evaporation. You should also always heva extra salt to do water changes in that time. That's all I can think of

This is just if the tank breaks and needs to replace. But it stays the same, light breaks, then you have a temporary extra light, pumps, skimmer break, you have a small filter pump etc etc

I decided not to rush the setup of the small cube, but rather wait till I can setup the monster tank in March
