I have never posted a full description and photo's of my set-up so here goes. I have been busy building a new filtration system as shown under DIY pages and now it is all connected.

DT 1200X450X500 (Total Volume = 320l including sumps and Refug)
    DSB Small - 160 X 400 (about 6months old)
New DSB - 630 X 400 (cycle for 5 weeks before connecting to system)
Refugium - 480 X 400 (cycle for 5 weeks before connecting to system)
    Lights - 6 X 54w T5's 3X12000k 2XActinic and 1X Coral Blue
    TS2 - Reeftek Skimmer
    5000l/hr Hailea return Pump
    Circulation
    1XSunsun JVP Vibration pump (5000l/hr)
    1XSeiprop 1000l/hr
Temperature control is by digitally by electronic temp control with PT100.
    (DIY)
Arriving soon Heilea 400l Chiller and Aqaumedic auto top-up

I must add that I am rather proud ofmyself having done all the building and work myself. The only thing I have not done was the DT (Which Leslie Hempel fixed 4 years ago)

Well here are the photo's ( I am not very good at photography)

    New DSB and Refugium

ATS - Have to re-do as there is too much splashing in ATS (this weekend's job)

    Would appreciate comments.

And oh the HTH bucket is a temporary sand filter. Added the aragonite to DSB on saturday and the whole DT went grey and brown. Phoned around and was told this is normal and it will clear up in about 3 days. Could not wait that long.
Drilled a mass on 15mm holes in the bottom of bucket. Placed a layer of geotextile fabric over it and added about 6inches of sea sand.

Put a pump into skimmer area and pumped water into bucket.

    Cleared up DT in 24hrs.

Looking good. How deep are your DSB's?

Leslie - thanks I will hold you to that. Just give me some time for system to really settle and I will contact you. In the meantime you can come and look anytime.

Tobes - All in good time. My garage normally looks like a bomb hit it after I am done but soon will do all the wiring.

Butcherman - I decided to spurgle a little and used aragonite. Expensive but definitely worth it.

Sentari-my dsb is 12cm deep and if you look at the small one which is about 6 months old you can see it maturing nicely.

Thanks for all the comments guys.

    Quick update on scaping

Had a very easy lazy weekend after all the hard work decided to leave the ATS modification for during the week, but work a little on the aquascping which was looking a bit sparse.

    Thanks guys.

I am sure that it will change a little over time as I buy in live stock. But this essentially is how I planned it.
