Started my 1.2 metre tank today. I transferred my liverock and corals and about 15 kgs of what seems to be Kenya liverock into the tank. It has a simple skimmer and a 90cm sump. No dsb. It has 4 54 watt lighting unit. I am not sure what lightbulbs but I was wonderIng If four ati 54 watters would be enough lighting as the tank is only 45cm deep. I bought two bags of aragonite oolite for the tank. I will rinse and introduce it tomorrow. I have boyu wm3 setup that I am going to use to circulate water.

Enjoy! Given how stunning your Boyu is - I'm sure this tank is going to be amazing.

Looking forward to the progress & pics!

Congrats on the upgrade. I also just got a 1.2m that is 45cm deep so will be keeping close tabs on your thread :)

Must stay that the last few days since I collected the tank have been the most tiring three days of my life

Will probably start a thread tomorrow and upload some pics.

Surely will be enough, like Irie says with good reflectors you could keep your sps happy

a small tank can be done so well that you completley appreciate its perfection.. look at "the iwagami reef" for eg.. a small beautiful biotope featuring gobies... id love to downscale and go gdo something like that ..

the potential is there.. its up to you to unlock it..

good luck its going to be a stunner.

The iwagami reef is exquisite but each animal or coral in the tank is a masterpiece or the best of the best. We don't see many of these in sa

i disagree... most of the gobies are obtainable... and so are alot of the sps.. it need not be a zeo system but it can be done with your own touch and approach!

If you have 4 I would go 2 x ATI Blue Plus, 1 x Aquablue Special and 1x Purple Plus
