If I'm not mistaken that is for the analog timer, which aren't very accurate.
But I did see the digital ones at builders for around R89 I think. That would be a better option IMHO.

Well still think that the analog is very cheap...its just a bit bulky.

I've tried using the digital ones not very user friendly

The only problem with the analog ones is that they can change by 10mins per week. Says so on the box, thats their accuracy. So now if you dont adjust ur timers for 3 months ur light cycle would have shifted by 2 hours. Where as the digital timers have an accuracy of 1 minute per month.

Thats for the top of the range ones. Those have like a million buttons on them. I saw it in the paper its a simple digital timer with only 3 buttons also made by major tech. It was on special for R89

just make sure you get a daily timer the weekly ones are very difficult to get accurate on and off times. I use them and works fine. You will need to reset in a power outage but some digital timers do not have backup either

Ya they have a battery. Those are the ones I use, because the other ones are good whilst the power is on but if you unplug them quickly or look at them funny they reset and then you have to sit there trying to remember how to program the thing because you threw the instructions away a long time ago.

GET digital with batt backup, works leka for lights even in the event of power failure.

can be set to a number of daily/weekly programs and even random setting for your flow pumps.....R200 is steep for the proper ones though,if anybody wants it for R120-00 then pm me...then again if you add +-R25 bucks postage rather get it from builders:p

but if you need more than two then pm me i'll organise it for you.....
