Just wondered if anyone else here has a Maine Coon? My GF and I have an 11 month old male (Gabanna) who is almost 5kg's. He has another 4 years of growing ... Hoping for a 12 kg kitty at least.

And before I get blasted for people thinking I am being racist ...

Hmm, must try the steak strips, I love Sphynx's they are so ugly that they are beautiful!

My Maine Coon is addicted to water, cannot leave the toilet seat up ever! We have a bucket of water inside so he can put his paws in and paddle a bit.
He also enjoys shoving his paw into the FW tank.

The MC loves water as long as long as you do not force him into it. He sat in the rain the other night, outer layer of fur was sopping wet.
The tank can never be left open...ever...

My daughter has 7 ordinary cats and about a year ago got a Sphynx. She it totally in love with this kitty cat. I have to listen to it purr (on the phone). She is now getting another Sphynx at the end of Oct. She says they are like no other cat, completely different.

Last time I saw Ziyaad between 2500 & 3000 bucks. If you are allergic to cats then look at the Devon/Cornish Rex , they only have one layer of hair which is ok for us allergic people. Also Russian Blue's

A 12kg cat must be a helluva sight! What kin dof temperment do they have? That Sphynx is awesome. I may get one for my chinchilla to play with. I cant handle any more hair.:)

My MC is a turd, he wants to be near you but will not sit on you, but when he wants attention you better be there for him.

Went to a cat show few months ago and there was a 14kg monster cat. He was huge, wish I had taken a picture.

Hey BrandonB, do you worry about the cat getting sunburnt or do you not allow him to go out?

I dont allow him to go out ... when he is out its usually like 10 mins (depending on weather) and I supervise him making sure he doesnt get hurt (no hair get scratch etc easily) or gets away lol ... or get into trouble with the countless other animals (chickens duck swans guinea fowl rabbits etc....) I try to take him out once a day so he doesnt get bored but luckily he has a big house and is not living in an apartment

sorry smithers did not mean to hijack your thread
