magnetic mh ballast

    Hi can anyone give me a indication of what a 250w magnetic ballast will cost,just a estimation?

    there was a shop that was selling the ballast and ignitor for R250 if i'm correct, but think it was for a 150w.

    A complete one is obviously what you looking for, i can get a ballast for a 250 for +- 500 depending on stock this time of year!!! Igniter included!! It also depends if you are going Analog or Digital, the digitals are far superior in efficiency but also in price but that is normally outweighed by the fact that the last longer.

    Why don't you just phone a local electrical shop or wholesaler and ask them. It's been quite a while since I had to buy a ballast (cost about R250.00 each, if I remember correctly...), but they are freely available (even here in Bloemfontein...) - Try Voltex, Waco Industries or Lightlines, or perhaps Venture Lighting (all in Cape Town area)...

    Just remember, you will also need an ignitor and a capacitor for each ballast.
