Looks good so far, MAgman. Your tank is a wee bit "young" for a carpet nemmie. BUT, as long as you keep on feeding it often enough, then it should survive fine.

The tank is 680l (if with with water only), I probably have 300 kg of LR in there. Some of the pieces are 35-50kgs each.

I have a 4 foot tank as the filter, traditional up and down 5 section, with about 100-150kgs rock in the middle three sections. The first section is the plastics (balls and ceramics-nitrate factory!!!!). Last section is the return chamber. I originally was not too keen on a dsb, as I thought that the bacteria only survive in the first 30mm of the sand surface, I know I am stubborn but I might be in two minds now, by putting the filter LR in a a 1st and 2nd cahmber 210 lt drums, then modify the current filter for a DSB. But I am still not too convinced, will have to research more on the forum.

    Livstock so far is
    2 oscerlaris,
    2 clarks,
2 jumping beans (starting to get romantic),
    yellow tail damsels,
    dominos
    banana wrasse,
    iridis wrasse,
    babartous wrasse,
    goldies,
    cleaner wrasse,
    regal tang,
    painted rock lobster,
    cleaner shrimp
    coral shrimp,
    Tubeworms,
    green tipped BTA
    lime green carpet nennie,
    tree sponges,
    sun corals.

I have just taken a few fish out, like a Hawk, another yellowtail damsel, (as a pair, they had started getting a bit too territorial.

will take photos of the engine and fish tonight.

nice looking tank there please post pics of the filtration.. a little critisism if i may: the rocks appear close together from what i can make out, create some nice openings for your fish to be able to interact into the rockwork as they grow bigger.. perhaps also try create a few more ledges asyou go along to allow more place for corals to be placed. that being said your system looks very well maintained. and is definatley off to a good start..

Looks good, But adding to Leslie,

I see that your LR is stacked up against back glass. Just ensure that you do not get dead spots there. As Detritus / rubish will gather there causing all nasty surprises.

Leslie and Riaan, thanks for the advice, but I have two power heads and two 3000lph pumps with pvc pipe and T jets all behind the rocks.
