 loving this site more and more each day  so after learning not to get ripped off from previous thread, i decided to do more research on how to set up and maintain a saltwater tank and what hardwares i need. i came across a Magic wave 102 nano reef(120 litres) at a very good price, it even came with a coral, but i am still new so i have no idea what coral this is or where to place it and how to keep it healthy. hope you guys can help me out:thumbup::thumbup: more pictures of the tank will be uploaded soon;)

Those look like zoanathids & a button polyp, my question is what are those rock behind the coral? Looks kind of strange.

Are they flat? could be river rocks but could be wrong. Maybe get some LR from an LFS or if someone is selling on the for sale threads.

i looked up these corals and they look nothing like the ones i have  are my corals closed up? they also said lighting must be moderate to high, so does this mean i must place it higher instead of leaving it at the bottom of the tank.

they look like they are still closed when the tank is settled and the water conditiones are correct they will start opening. if the light it good the they will open even more and you will see the colors.

Yip they are closed for now. How long have they been in the tank? Did you aclimate the coral rock before adding it to your tank? Maybe give them time to settle in.

How long have you had the tank?

Did you use the same water that was in the tank when it was still with the previous owner or is the water a fresh mix?
