It’s official. MACNA 2016 will take place in San Diego California, hosted by the San Diego Marine Aquarium Foundation (SDMAF). The 28th annual Marine Aquarium Conference of North America makes its big return to the West Coast for the first time in 18 years since 1998.
For almost three decades, MACNA has been widely revered as the top conference and trade show of the marine aquarium industry. Each year MACNA attracts attendees from all over the world for a privileged preview of some of the industry’s latest product offerings from iconic brands manufacturers alike. It also provides an unadulterated platform for people of all backgrounds to interact with some of the industry’s brightest minds; from casual hobbyists to scientific authorities.
Being a port city right along the Pacific Ocean, San Diego has a long and rich maritime culture which is reflected in its aquaristic credentials. In addition, San Diego also boasts of the Scripps Institute of Oceanography and the Birch Aquarium; two institutes which we’ll be sure to visit next year.
With MACNA 2015 just around the corner, we’re ready and excited for this year’s event, but also pumped and curious at what next year has installed for us. One thing’s for sure is that we’ll definitely be treated to some great speakers and incredibly line up of exhibitors.
MACNA 2016 is proudly sponsored by Triton GmbH, Instant Ocean, CoralVue, Neptune Systems, Two Little Fishies, Reef Nutrition, Rod’s Food, JBJ, eShopps, and San Francisco Bay Brand. For more information and the official press release, click the link here.
