    hey all i thought id start my new thread now that the tank is up. Ive been wanting to upgrade mainly because of being able to get bigger and better fish and having a more stable tank(currently ive got an 80 litre boyu).Im wanting a mixed reef with a bit of everything.

    heres the equipment so far

    DT- 120x45x45 around 240 litres
    sump- 85x30x30 around 75 litres
    system = 315 litres roughly

    hood- 6xt5
    sump plans:
    1st-planning on getting a Ts2 skimmer (nice nd big)
    2nd-dsb with a few macros
    3rd- return pump...2800 lph Hailea

    heater somewhere in their.
    im gonna try fill the tank tomorrow nd get some pics up.

    let me know what you all think.

    Nice start Lyle. lol is that front pain really scratched or really dirty? :p

    The return pipe should be ok, not ideal but it will work. I have some pvc piping in my garage left over from my tank...you can have some if u want it.

    I used pvc cement, worked great and no leaks guaranteed, but this was on piping from a pool pump that must have had great pressure. If you are going to have sleepless nights over this then you can use it but if not, leave it. If there is a small leak the salt creep will quickly block it up.
