    Hi all.

I found these flatworms on some of my LPS corals last week. They don't seem to be doing any harm but I'm about to move the corals to a new system and don't want to contaminate it. I think they are in the Genus: Waminoa which are zooxanthellate flatworms so I wouldn't think they are harmful.

Has anyone come across these before and have some advice?

    Thanks
    Ash

hi Ash.i have the same problem with flat worms.
what i did was i took a 2L container and filled it with RO water.take the coral and give it a quick dip in the container and a good shake.they fall off like fleas!

forgot to mention...you could also try a 6 line Wrasse.some guys have had success with them, but it can also be a hit and miss situation.

    interesting treatment. I'll try that.

    Another two options are:

Though my main worry is that the worms will hitch a ride into my new system with the live rock. And I really don't want to treat the rock with an antihelminthic because it'll kill all the beneficials too.
